The 12 months 2022 has been a a success one for the Uganda Society of Architects (USA) so far as attaining its objectives is anxious.

The USA brings in combination all skilled architects in the nation, with one of their goals being to organise and unite architects in Uganda and to foster and make stronger pleasant, highbrow, inventive, cultural, instructional and medical ties amongst architects and the architectural fraternity.

According to the USA president, Arch. Dr. Emmanuel Ssinabulya, this 12 months has been a busy season for the society, with a number of actions being performed.

Among those actions, he highlights their first-ever Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) sports activities gala hung on June 18, 2022, the place other execs in the constructed trade accumulated to fundraise for a youngsters’s skilling undertaking in Bulimu village, Kyampisi Mukono district.

“The project is a safe haven for children as well as has space where the activities to skill the children after school activities can be conducted. This CSR project is estimated to cost Shs200 million,” Ssinabulya says.

Furthermore, he famous that the society held a number of Professional Continuous Development seminars right through the 12 months.

These seminars, in line with him, had been aimed toward making sure that the occupation is upholding society’s objective of fostering expansion in contributors and the occupation.

Ssinabulya congratulated all graduate architects who sat and handed this 12 months’s skilled tests.

“I welcome them to the other side of the profession. We continue to encourage those that did not make it this time to try next year and keep the spirit of professional growth active,” he famous.

Also price noting is that the society were given representatives elected to world and regional engagements, together with Andrew Amara, who used to be elected Chair Communications Board of the Commonwealth Association of Architects and Ssinabulya, who used to be elected First Vice President of the East African Institute of Architects.

Shaping Uganda’s constructed setting

According to the society, this 12 months, they’ve effectively surveyed the recent situation of the nation’s constructed setting.

This, in line with the society, is evidenced through a number of cutting edge construct answers which have been established in the sector.
