Tunis/Tunisia — The Ministry of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly on Thursday began the distribution of 1,050 investment agreements for ladies’s initiatives in 22 governorates of the Republic, as phase of the nationwide programme for the promotion of ladies’s entrepreneurship RAÏDET.

The authorized initiatives are divided into 942 micro-projects and 108 small and medium-sized initiatives, with overall price range exceeding TND 9.7 million.

38% of the authorized initiatives might be performed in the trade sector, 26% in the small trades sector, 20% in the services and products sector, 9% in the crafts sector, 3.5% in the rural sector and three.5% in the business sector.

39% of the initiatives might be undertaken via ladies elderly between 31 and 40. 27.5% might be undertaken via ladies elderly between 18 and 30, 23.5% via ladies elderly between 41 and 50, 10% via ladies elderly between 51 and 59.

The RAÏDET programme goals to empower ladies in building and the economic system and to inspire girls and women to release their very own initiatives via granting them preferential advantages and a investment ceiling of TND 300,000.

About TND 50 million have been equipped for investment this programme over a 5-year duration, at a price of TND 10 million in keeping with 12 months and a 40% building up in annual price range from 2023 onwards.

RAÏDET is applied via the Ministry of the Family, Women, Children and the Elderly thru partnership agreements with 3 spouse banking establishments, specifically the Tunisian Solidarity Bank, the Bank for the Financing of Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises and the (*22*) Agricultural Bank.
