The Benue State Police Command has refuted experiences that previous naira notes had been came upon in a police barracks in Wadata, Makurdi, the state capital.
According to a commentary issued on December 13, 2022, by way of the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Catherine Anene, police investigators dispatched to the positioning recovered wasted papers in a store close to the Wadata Police Barracks in Makurdi.
She additional said that the store proprietor, Mr. Isah Suleiman, used to be invited for interrogation, and introduced a waste control licence equipped by way of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
