Niger State has gained an award for low debt visibility, transparency, and duty within the North Central zone of the rustic from the government and the World Bank.

The commissioner for finance, Mallam Usman Tinau Mohammed made this identified in a while after presenting the award to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello all over the weekly state government council assembly on the Government House, Minna.

The commissioner stated the programme was once an initiative of the government and the World Bank to make sure transparency and duty in governance.

He stated there have been 9 deliverables, and that any state that carried out neatly in all of the deliverables will likely be recognised and awarded.

The commissioner stated that Niger State excelled in 3 primary spaces reminiscent of low debt, transparency, and duty.

“The Independent Variation Team had earlier visited the state to look into our performance and we were scored,” he defined.

According to him, “It is in that direction that Niger State in the North Central came 1st in terms of debt visibility, transparency.”
